BLUR GIVES FANS A THIRD ‘WHIP’ FOR FREE AS 16 YEAR ALBUM WAIT ALMOST OVER
Blur is set to release thier first new album in 16 years as the original fourpiece — Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon, Alex James, and David Rowntree. The new effort is titled The Magic Whip, and it’s slated to land at retail on April 28, The group just released their third free download from the collection titled “Lonesome Street.”
The group played a secret show to 300 people at Mode in West London this past Friday Night, March 20, as fans were treated to the debut performance of songs off The Magic Whip. The new wffort will be available via digital downlaod, CD and a 2-disc vinyl set.
Fans who weren’t of concert age the first time around are familiar with the “who-hoo!” anthem of “Song 2,” with it being featured in many video games in the last decade.
