P.O.D. DOING THEIR PART TO HELP MUSICIANS ON CALL
Ready to release new album, P.O.D start their tour at Hard Rock and help Musicians on Call along the way |
P.O.D., who are set to release their new album ‘When Angels & Serpents Dance’, kicked off their 2008 Hard Rock Tour with a performance at The Hard Rock in Hollywood, California on March 25th, for Hard Rock’s March On Stage concert serires. The March on Stage events continue in March and April at Hard Rock Cafes across the continent and Hard Rock International has selected Musicians On Call as the North American partner for their campaign. Musicians On Call, which is a nonprofit organization formed in 1999, brings live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare facilities as it uses music to promote and complement the healing process for patients, families and caregivers. |
We caught up with Marcos and Traa of P.O.D. to get their thoughts on doing their part to help out. |
“P.O.D. is basically a band about the people and when it comes to charities and stuff like that. We heard about this and we jumped at the opportunity to be a part, every little bit counts, to do our little bit to help out.” |
‘When Angels & Serpents Dance’ is set to hit streets April 8th and the album marks the return of original guitarist Marcos Curiel. The album also features guest appearances from Helmet’s Page Hamilton, Suicidal Tendencies’ Mike Muir and the Marley Sisters. P.O.D.’s Hard Rock Tour will extend until April 7th in San Diego, California. You can also check out P.O.D. performing on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on April 8th. |
