Atlanta-based rapper Yung Joc will release his debut album, New Joc City, next month. The album features guest appearances by Marques Houston, Lil Wayne, Cheri Dennis, Jody Breeze, Duke, Big Gee, and Dro. The project’s first single is called “It’s Goin’ Down.” |
The 23 year-old rapper is a natural born entertainer. He explained how he got his start as young child singing at family gatherings. He said, |
“She’s like, ‘Joc.’ I’m like ah oh there go my cue to get out the room, ‘Yeah.’ ‘Come here baby,’ oh s**t. I go in there, ‘Sing your song for them.’ It be a song, some goddamn, ‘Computer Love,’ s**t. I might have to rap a verse or some s**t of some RUN-DMC s**t. They like, ‘Ohhhh.’ Then you know all her friends give me a dollar and so I be good went back in the room with like five, ten dollars in my pocket like yo.” |
Yung Joc was on tour with T.I. but the tour went on hiatus following a shooting in Cincinnati that took the life of T.I.’s personal assistant Philant Johnson. |
