YUMMI BINGHAM STRIKES THE BALANCE BETWEEN STREETS AND CHURCH
Singer-songwriter Yummi Bingham will release her debut solo album, Yummi Bingham First Seed, in June. The latest single from the project is “Is It Good To You.” The album will feature guest appearances by Jadakiss, Busta Rhymes, and Rockwilder. |
Bingham grew up in South Jamaic, Queens in New York City. The area also gave birth to 50 Cent, Onyx, and the Lost Boyz. Bingam was raised by her grandparents and she explained how she was able to balance her street life with being in the church. The singer said, |
“Just being in the street and being grounded with them in church made me who I am. It made me a very edgy but spiritual kind of person. And people really don’t understand the two to be compatible, because how you mix the street with the church? But look at me and there you go. That’s how you do it.” |
