YELLOWCARD SET FOR RELEASE OF LIGHTS AND SOUNDS
Yellowcard’s new album, Lights And Sounds, is currently in stores. The album is the band’s first since 2003’s Ocean Avenue, featuring the break-out title song. The band attained superstar status with that effort, but now in 2006, they’ve got something to prove. |
Yellowcard’s Lights And Sounds features a diversity of material. We caught up with the band at the Fuse studios in New York, and violinist Sean Mackin, with vocalist Ryan Key and drummer Longineu Parsons by his side, talked about the expectations for the collection. |
“We wanted to put our best foot forward with this record, Lights And Sounds, and show everyone that didn’t like us what they didn’t think we had and show ourselves what we had inside of us, and show our fans why they’ve been listening to us for all these years. This is our new chapter, this is our best foot forward, and I hope that everyone likes it.” |
Yellowcard’s first single, the title track from Lights And Sounds, is currently at Number 15 on the Alternative airplay chart and the band has a host of late night shows like Conan O’Brien, Jimmy Kimmel and Jay Leno. |
Yellowcard taped their appearance earlier this week for the Fuse program 7th Avenue Drop, which is set to air February 7th on Fuse TV and on DirectTV’s “CD USA.” |
