YELLOWCARD DROP BY FUSE
In support of their new release, Lights and Sounds, Yellowcard showcased their new material as well as some old favorites for fand and also for a taping for the music channel fuse in New York earlier this week. The program, 7th Avenue Download, will air February 7. |
The band was happy to reconnect with fans at the event, but violin player Sean Mackin admits that he was a little nervous working on the new batch of songs for Lights And Sounds in the studio. |
“Um I don’t think you ever feel that unless… I really was uncomfortable with the process until my stuff and the strings started to come together at the end of the album. I was kinda stressed out.” |
Mackin said that the band came together in the end, even working on material they wanted to do for the last album, Ocean Avenue. |
“We just kinda pulled it together. I think it was just all of us brainstorming, collaboration. We were able to bring everything that we had inside of us, everything that we wanted to do on the previous record, to life. And we were able to do that.” |
For fuse’s program 7th Avenue Drop, Yellowcard performed their latest single, the title track “Lights And Sounds,” for the Fuse crowd as well as an additional 20 minutes worth of songs including the popular “Ocean Avenue.” |
