XZIBIT LEAVES STRONG ARM STEADY

Los Angeles-based group Strong Arm Steady was made up of Krondon, Mitchy Slick, Phil Da Agony, and Xzibit, but the group recently signed a deal with Talib Kweli’s Warner Music Group-imprint Blacksmith Music as a trio. The group signed the deal without Xzibit but the Pimp My Ride host seems to be supportive of his former proteges. He said, |
Strong Arm Steady released several mixtapes and a DVD of freestyles and behind the scenes footage in 2004. The group was slated to release their debut through Xzibit’s Open Bar label and Sony Music but Xzibit parted ways with the company in 2005. |
“I mean man well I’m proud of those guys, you know what I’m sayin’? I don’t know what they’re gonna do because I didn’t sign with them to the group. So hopefully you know they take this step and really blow up for them.” |
In related news, Xzibit recently released his sixth solo album, Full Circle. The first single from the project is “Concentrate.” The album features guest appearances by The Game, DJ Quik, T-Pain, Daz Dillinger, Kurupt, King Tee, and Donell Rawlings with production by Keith Shocklee, Rick Rock, and Jellyroll. |
