XZIBIT FALLS SHORT WITH NEW ALBUM
Rapper and actor Xzibit decided to release his latest album, Full Circle, independently after recording for Loud Records and Sony Music his entire career but unfortunately the album has yet to take off. Full Circle sold 16,000 copies its first week in stores and sits at Number 174 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. |
Prior to the release of the new album, Xzibit explained that he needed to reconnect with his core audience. He said, |
“The last record was coming from behind a lackluster performance of both myself and the company, I was on was Sony, coming off of Man Vs Machine into Weapons Of Mass Destruction. They both went gold but I was still kind of disappointed in you know the performance because we had just sold 2 million records on a boutique label. So you know I had to really go back and figure out where the disconnect was with my audience.” |
Full Circle features guest appearances by The Game, DJ Quik, T-Pain, Daz Dillinger, Kurupt, King Tee, and Donell Rawlings with production by Keith Shocklee, Rick Rock, and Jellyroll. The first single from the album is “Concentrate.” |
