WOLFMOTHER STILL STUNNED BY ARIA AWARD WINS
Wolfmother continues on a tour of the United States, and they’re hoping for Grammy Award recognition in light of their successful Aria Awards run late last month. The band took home awards for Breakthrough Artist-Album, Best Rock Album, and Best Group in the Aussie awards show that is viewed as their Grammy Awards equivalent. |
The year has been a whirlwind for members Andrew Stockdale, Myles Heskett and Chris Ross, and they talked about the surreal experience of winning big at the Aria Awards. |
“Yeah. That was amazing. That’s a real… In Australia that’s the big night, the big music industry recognition. Yeah that was an amazing feeling kind of getting up there on national television and just being acknowledged for what we do. Our families were really stoked. It was great.” |
Wolfmother also recently played the U.K. Music Hall Of Fame, paying tribute to Led Zeppelin. The band’s cover of Led Zeppelin’s “Communication Breakdown” has proven to be a crowd favorite. |
