WITH MULTIPLE GRAMMY NOMS, JAMES BLUNT PONDERS RET
James Blunt, who was nominated for five Grammy Awards this week discussed recording his second album and possible retirement. |
James Blunt has had quite a breakout year on the strength of not only a hit song with ‘You’re Beautiful’ but also a hit album as well with Back to Bedlam. Capping this amazing year for Blunt was his five 2007 Grammy nominations including Best New Artist and Best Male Pop Vocal Performance. |
We caught up with Blunt at the Grammy Nomination press conference to find out if he has plans on getting back into the studio to record his sophomore album and luckily Blunt was only joking about retirement |
“No, I’m going to retire. I recorded ‘Back to Bedlam’ in Los Angeles two years ago and I’m going to come back out here in Febuary this time around and I really enjoyed it last time and I’m excited about the second album.” |
Blunt was also nominated for Song of the Year, Record of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album. After two solid years touring in support of ‘Back to Bedlam’ look for Blunt to head back home to the UK to be with his family for the holidays. Blunt plans on getting back into the studio in Los Angeles in early 2007 for an album hopefully to be released by the end of next year. |
