WILL I AM SETS SEPTEMBER RELEASE DATE FOR NEW ALBUM

Will I Am will release his new solo album, Songs About Girls, on September 25th……

The Black Eyed Peas Will.I.Am will release his new solo album, Songs About Girls, on September 25th. The rapper told MTV.com, “On Sunday I fly out to Brazil to film the movie, ’cause I’m doing a play to [accompany the album]….When I tour the album, I’m touring in theaters. So when you see the film, I’m gonna be scoring [the music to] the film while you see it. So I’m not gonna play shows at regular venues, I’m playing at like the theaters of the world. It’ll be in theaters, but not traditionally. I try not to do things traditionally.”

The first single from the project is “I Got It From My Mama (Genetics).” The Black Eyed Peas frontman explained, “If a girl’s hot and her mama’s ugly then she’s gonna be ugly in a couple of years. So you always go for the chicks with the hot mamas, ’cause she gonna be hot, too.”

“You know what I mean so there’s always time. I write right before I go to sleep. I write right when I wake up that’s when I got the freshest ideas. And I just keep them and call my phone or…Yup call my phone and get to the studio, record it.”

With his busy schedule as a producer Will.I.Am explained that he gets a lot of ideas before he goes to bed. The rapper explained,

The Black Eyed Peas, who are scheduled to launch an international tour in September, will release a new album next year.
