WILD HOG STARS SAY SAFETY FIRST
Wild Hog stars John Travolta, William H. Macy, and Tim Allen may make it look easy riding their Harley Davidsons but they had proper training from the like professionals before they ever turned over the motor. |
So if you’re planning on breaking out on the open road Travolta and Macy stress safety first. |
“Safety is important and on film it’s probably important to express that too. We did a lot of goofy things but we did get trained. You should wear helmets and you shouldn’t go into posts like this guy does. Bill: Don’t hit signs. You’ll scratch your bike and it’ll give you a headache. John: Don’t ride in the rain.” |
Tim Allen wants to continue riding motorcycles, something he was banned from doing as a kid but now he’s got his wife to answer to. |
“My brother lost his leg when he was 16 and my mom wouldn’t let us ride bikes even though I was into bikes. I still loved ‘em. I had minibikes, little motorcycles. I just like the motion of it. I worry about an orthopedic surgeon and getting into trouble. I kind of want to know how to lay a bike down at that high speed. I keep asking the guys to train me. Is there any way you can try that out because I’ll inevitably go in the other direction, flip over the handle bars.’ But I don’t want to end up like that. I love riding the bikes. It’s a constant conflict with me. Is it worth the risk and my wife says, ‘no.’” |
Everyone in the cast took their motorcycle for a spin between takes except for Martin Lawrence who wasn’t as sure he could go it alone. Wild Hogs opens Friday. |
