WES BORLAND HAS NO NOOKIE FOR LIMP BIZKIT
Wes Borland is focusing on Black Light Burns and will no longer express negative feelings on Limp Bizkit or his break from Fred Durst. |
Former Limp Bizkit guitarist Wes Borland is currently focusing on his new band Black Light Burns, and he can’t say that he longs for the good old days. Borland’s latest release is a collection of his favorite covers, and one will not find any songs from his past. |
Borland, who earlier had spewed negative comments about Limp Bizkit, talks about the success with the band. |
“It’s… I’m glad I was there. It was cool that it happened. I recently talked about it a little bit with a magazine and overstepped my boundaries about how I feel about it and said a little too much, and fans were kind of outraged on line about certain things that I’ve said. I kind of already have (made peace with them). I told them that I would never talk negative about Limp Bizkit in an interview ever again, so everything’s great.” |
He also talked about his working relationship with Fred Durst and Limp Bizkit. |
“There is no relationship anymore. It’s not my thing any more. I think it was for that period in my life, and now I’ve moved on to different interests. Tastes change and goals change, and you can’t stay if you’re not interested in something there’s no need to stay in it. I think people should always reinvent themselves and not be a slave to their fears of not succeeding in whatever they wish for and whatever they think they can do. I think it’s a mistake to stick to something because it’s easy.” |
Borland and Black Light Burns is set to release their new album Cover Your Heart & The Anvil Pants Odyssey, an album of their favorite covers including tunes by Lard, Love And Rockets, and Fiona Apple among others. |
