WARPED TOUR HOLLYWOOD PARTY, OLD SCHOOL FOR 15TH ANNIVERSARY

Kevin Lyman held his annual Warped Tour kick off party with performances from Adolescents, TSOL, Sing It Loud, TV TV and TAT.

Warped Tour kicked off their 15th Anniversary with a party at The Key Club in Hollywood, Ca on April 2nd with performances from the Adolescents, TSOL, Sing It Loud, TV/TV and TAT and founder Kevin Lyman once again brings a diverse lineup to America’s Longest Running Festival. The 46 date tour will begin June 26th in Pamona, Ca and end August 23rd in Carson, Ca wrapping around America bringing fans such acts as NOFX, Bad Religon, Chiodos, Fishbone, Less than Jake, Flogging Molly and Underoath to name just a small sampling.

At the press conference held before the concert celebrating it’s 15th Anniversary, Kevin Lyman talked about putting together Warped Tour’s 2009 lineup with more of an old school vibe for their fans.

“I think this year I did do some stuff intentionally like maybe looking at that 25-35 year old that are having the hardest time in this economy. A lot of them are paying their bills for the first time or totally responsible but they still want to be entertained. So by putting a together a bill with some of the old school bands, Less Than Jake, Floggying Molly, Bad Religon, NOFX they may come back to Warped and say ‘You know what I can go see all those bands every night of the week, but I’ll go out and see the Warped Tour this Summer.'”

Just before performing at the 15th Anniversary concert was British band TAT and they talked about how grateful they are to be hand picked by Kevin Lyman to be apart of Warped Tour again and help them break out in America.

“We’re very grateful to be hand picked by Kevin Lyman and Kevin Lyman’s done a lot for this band. We’re really, really grateful for his support. Without him we wouldn’t have done Warped Tour, we wouldn’t have got that tour with Alice Cooper, thru Warped Tour we wouldn’t be doing it again this year. So I kind of think Kevin Lyman’s had a really big hand in helping us come out and do this in the U.S. the way we’ve done it. So it’s a massive honor to be on Warped Tour and be by his side you know.”

Kevin Lyman continues to be extremely busy not only with Warped Tour but also putting together this Summer’s Mayhem Tour once again, which will feature metal bands like Slayer, Marilyn Manson and Bullet for My Valentine plus many others.
