VINCE VAUGHN VALUES KIDS

Fred Claus was given a bad shake as a kid, never amounting to his full potential like his baby brother Nicholas who went on to become Santa. |
Vince Vaughn as Fred, a slick operator who is down on his luck is forced to work with the elves at Santa’s Workshop to make ends meet. Vince says he tapped into his inner child for the role. |
“I love kids. I think part of being an actor is you have an imagination that stays childlike and I think kids are great. I feel like every age group or generation has their struggles or the things that are unique to them. I think part of knowing I’m getting older is when I go ‘techno music, that’s not music. That ain’t a song. How are you gonna request that on the radio station?’ But I think that’s part of getting older probably the same that was probably said of the music we grew up listening to.” |
Christmas is the time for giving and no matter how naughty you are there always seems to be a gift under the tree from Santa. Vince says giving kids the confidence to achieve their dreams is the greatest gift of all. |
“But I think kids are universally kids. I do like the theme of the movie that there’s no bad kids. I do think it’s true that that’s such an age of magic, such an age of optimism and hope. That’s the biggest thing, nothing is more important than making sure that children have the opportunity to have faith, to believe that they can achieve something. I think that’s the greatest gift that you can give a kid.” |
Vince was a good kid growing up which he credits to his working mother who not only raised her family but kept a full time job as a real estate broker as well. |
