A Tribe Called Quest, Snoop Dogg, Whodini, Missy Elliott, Teddy Riley, Andre Harrell, and the movie Wild Style were all honored this year at VH1’s Hip Hop Honors, which taped on Thursday October 4th in New York City. The show airs on Monday (October 8th) at 10 pm on VH1. |
The show included performances by Timbaland, Ciara, Fat Man Scoop, Nelly Furtado, KRS-One, Pharrell Williams, Lupe Fiasco, Busta Rhymes, Tweet, Ne-Yo, Keyshia Cole, Kool Moe Dee, T-Pain, Doug E Fresh, and others. |
“Like I said I’m so proud of Bow Wow right now. I remember when he was five years old and I met him at my show backstage and he was just a little bitty, you know, little whipper snapper, you know what I’m sayin’? Poppin his whip and trying to be seen and heard. Now I see him growing up and becoming a young man and I’m just so proud of what JD’s done for him. You know show him how to get his life together. Now he’s off and running on his own. I like to see those type of things where you could see a kid who coulda went the wrong way but he did the right thing cause he had direction.” |
