UNCLE L MAKES A NEW CAREER MOVE

LL Cool J can now add fashion designer to his already lengthy resume. The rapper/actor debuted his new clothing line Todd Smith during New York’s Fashion Week at the Carlton Hotel.

“This is an extension of the normal side of me,” said Cool J, real name James Todd Smith. “It’s an extension of Todd Smith who is more of a normal guy, more of a guy-next-door.”

The new line will feature both men’s and women’s clothing overseen by veterans of the fashion world. Jeremy Brandrick of Dolce & Gabbana will over see the men’s line, while Matthew Priestly, formerly of Marni will oversee the women’s line.

“I would like a person to look rich, to look successful but not be overly ornate,” said Smith. “I want to leave room for the everyday guy to upgrade.”

Smith wants to keep his two careers separate from one another when marketing.
