U2 TAKE NYC ONCE AGAIN, PRODUCER SAYS HORIZON ANOTHER INNOVA
Producer and musician Daniel Lanois discusses the journey of U2’s latest album “No Line on the Horizon,” as the band promotes on Letterman and in NYC. |
U2 released their new album No Line On The Horizon on Tuesday (March 3), and this week they’re doing some hefty promotion in New York City. The band has a weeklong stint on David Letterman, they had the street next to Letterman’s studio named U2 Way by the mayor, and they have a Good Morning America concert at Fordham University on Friday. |
The band’s first single is Get On Your Boots. The album was co-produced by Daniel Lanois and he talked about the album. |
“The U2 journey is always a fascinating and innovative one. That entire entourage, the four members of the band, Brian Eno and myself we have a non stop appetite for innovation. We’re always looking for new sonics, new ways of building songs, prose Bono is dedicated to the word. We believe that music still holds the power of the never ending frontier.” |
U2 also promoted the album by playing the balcony of Broadcasting House for 5,000 fans in central London last week. |
