TWO SHOT AT LIL FLIP CONCERT
Lil’ Wayne is looking to become the first artist to release an album and have it go platinum in it’s first week since 50 Cent’s The Massacre in 2005. |
Two people suffered non-life-threatening gunshot wounds when gun shots erupted outside a Lil’ Flip concert at the Quest nightclub in downtown Minneapolis early Sunday morning, December 4th. MTV.com reports that the two concertgoers, one male and one female, were shot on the corner outside of the venue at approximately 2 a.m., just 30 minutes after the rapper hit the stage. Police spokesperson Ron Reier said, “A couple of officers actually saw the muzzle blast from the gun so they were very, very close.” |
The authorities immediately shut the venue down and conducted a search of all the patrons. One man was cuffed but according to authorities no arrests have been made. |
In related news, Lil Flip will release his new album, I Need Mine, on December 27th. The first single from the project is “What It Do” featuring Mannie Fresh. |
