TWISTA WANTS THE TROOPS TO COME HOME
Twista wants Americans to pressure George Bush into bringing the troops home….. |
Rapper Twista is very uspet that President Bush vetoed of a bill that would have called for the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq. The rapper is now calling for all American citizens to put pressure on the White House. In his weekly column for the Chicago Tribune’s Red Eye publication, Twista wrote, “I want to tell people to write, call, or come up with some way to give suggestions to help say something to effect our troops coming home. We need to say something effective to bring our troops back home. We have troops dying every day and I think it’s time that they come back home to the people they care about.” |
The rapper added, “I wanna know what you all think we can do to help bring the troops home because something needs to be done. There are two sides to the situation in Iraq but I kind of feel the way Rosie O’Donnell feels: They didn’t attack us so why should we have to attack them?” |
“I felt like we was in a predicament and I give Atlantic a lot of credit for that too. Like not wanting to just put the album out off of a single that I might have thought was like, ‘Man it’s the one.’ You know like trying to get an album out there. But like, ‘Nah we can’t mess this up.We have to hold it until we got the right single.” |
In related news, Twista is currently working on a new solo album, Adrenaline Rush 2010, which will feature guest appearances by Lil’ Wayne, R. Kelly, Snoop Dogg, Cee-Lo and R. Kelly. The set was originally scheduled for release last year but was pushed back to this August. Twista explained the hold up. He said, |
