TWISTA HOSTING ONLINE LISTENING SESSION

Chicago-based rapper Twista will release his new album, Adrenaline Rush 2007, on September 18tt, but he will host a special online listening session for the album on Wednesday (July 11th) on 247HH.com. The event is the first in 247HH.com’s new series, titled The Story Behind The Cut. Twista will provide a brief explanation and history for each song as he previews the set.

NASCAR is also sponsoring the event, its first with a hip hop artist, so Twista will drive the RED BULL NASCAR Street Legal Edition Race Car to the event.

“So it just, it happened at a time when labels and business started to shift a little bit. You know you got the iPods and the downloads and everything, it was just people started to purchase music in a lot of different ways other than just the CD. You know what I’m sayin’? So I attribute a lot of that ot it. I don’t attribute too much like me. Like I don’t think I lost a step or did something wrong.”

The first single from Adrenaline Rush 2007 is “Give It Up” featuring Pharrell Williams. The album will also feature collaborations with Kanye West, R. Kelly, T-Pain, and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony.

Twista’s last album was 2005’s The Day After. The rapper explained why the album failed to match the success of his previous efforts. He said,
