TRANSFORMERS OPENS TONIGHT
The wait is over for Transformers with a special opening tonight. |
For those of you who remember playing with Hasbro’s Transformer toys which began as a car, an animal or an aircraft and with a little twisting and turning became Optimus Prime, Autobot Jazz and Starscream, the wait is over for the film Transformers which has a special opening tonight at 8PM. |
These innocent Transformers you played with in your bedroom have been blown up to 40 foot tall fighting machines courtesy of action director Michael Bay. Shia LaBeouf who is one of the humans caught up in the robotic chaos talks about the first time he witnessed a Transformer up close. |
“There was a couple of us that saw it for the first time and it was at Hoover Dam. We walked down through the Hoover Dam which was an experience in of itself. You’re with these big silos of energy all next to you and you’re in the guts of the dam, few people ever get to walk down there. And just over the yonder is a big yellow foot. And you’re like no way. And you start walking and you’re getting closer and closer and you start seeing the body and the torso and the head. And it’s just silence.” |
When war erupts between the two robotic clans, the Autobots and the Decepticons it’s up to Sergeant Lennon and Epps to save the planet. Tyrese and Josh Duhamel talk about the action sequences. |
“It’s huge, it’s crazy like it’s adrenalin that’s pumpin’. I think for me, I look at Michael Bay and I look up to him because he works so hard and he has to deal with so many different people on set. It makes me feel that much more responsible to do my part. It’s a lot of shooting and bombs and stuff blowing up and cars crashing into things, people flying everywhere so it feels like you’re really in that.” |
