TOOL AND APC MAYNARD SAYS VOTE
In perhaps the USA’s most important election, Tool and A Perfect Circle frontman Maynard James Keenan says every vote counts. |
Some say this year’s election might be the most important election in United States history. With the second debate between John McCain and Barack Obama finished, there really hasn’t been a clear-cut winner or a knock-out punch thrown between them, but while most celebs are openly in favor of Barack Obama some remain veiled. |
In a previous interview, Maynard James Keenan, frontman for Tool and A Perfect Circle, says that every vote counts. |
“I think people for the most part have been tricked into thinking that their vote doesn’t count, and it actually does. Their voice counts. All of those things count. You need to make sure you pay attention to those things that affects you directly. If you don’t vote you are giving up your right to direct how you’re manipulated or what’s best for you. Figure out what representative best represents your views on the world and how you want the world and how you see it progressing for your future, your children’s future, and vote. It’s very simple. I’ve seen people… Most people drop a quarter in a slot machine. There’s less odds there than voting and choosing the person who is going to represent you.” |
Keenan is currently out on tour not with any of his bands, but with his wine. He’ll be out supporting his Arizona Stronghold Vineyards on October 21st in Tustin, California and October 22nd in West Los Angeles for bottle signings at Whole Foods stores.rn |
