TOOL ALBUM TO BE RELEASED APRIL 4
Tool is set to release their still untitled album on April 4, according to a record label release schedule. While there is no title available at press time, the effort will the band’s first since 2001’s Lateralus. |
Most of the bands that came out in the early ’90s at the same time as Tool — Soundgarden, Alice In Chains and Nirvana — are gone from the scene. We caught up with Danny Carey last year on tour with his side band, Pygmy Love Circus, and we talked about why Tool has outlasted its peers. |
“Well, again, I think friendship is an important part of it. That’s probably the biggest factor. We actually do hang out with each other outside of working together and it’s just makes it all worth while. That ,and I guess it’s like being in any kind of relationship I suppose in that if in the end the output is worth making the sacrifices to keep the relationshiop together then that’s what you do.” |
Danny Carey has been busy with drum clinics and he will be at the NAMM music convention in Los Angeles this weekend. While he has been busy with Pigmy Love Circus, vocalist Maynard James Keenan released a new album and toured with his side band, A Perfect Circle. |
