TOM ARNOLD DOES TENDERLOIN AND TORNADOES
Local Iowa boy Tom Arnold showed off his culinary and weather skills on set of The Final Season. |
Tom Arnold stars in The Final Season as the father of Norway Tigers high school baseball team’s star player. |
Tom who grew up in Ottumwa, Iowa taught the Californian transplants on set a thing or two about the corn state’s fine cuisine. |
“First of all I bought everybody tenderloins which they never had because they’re deep fried tenderloins and they’re about this big and California people are like, ‘how much fat is in this?’ You know you don’t count fat in Iowa as you know.” |
Tom also got a kick out of watching his Hollywood friends scramble for cover during a tornado warning which he stayed to watch boldly in the open field. |
“We’re out there and there’s a tornado warning and the siren went off and all the California people ran into the basement of this farmhouse freaking out. And I heard the guy say, ‘it’s five miles away, it’s four miles away, it’s three,’ and Mike Bodiker who’s from here too and I sat out on the porch in rocking chairs and just faced south and watched and waited for it. We said, ‘when the roof of that barn at the next farm blows off then we’ll go into the basement with all those sweaty California people.’ It was a really cool Iowa experience.” |
The Final Season stars newcomer Michael Angarano as Arnold’s son who will next be seen in Black Irish and Man In The Chair. |
