TIMOTHY OLYPHANT TAKES HIS HITS

Live Free Or Die Hard villain Timothy Olyphant proves bald is bad in Hitman playing a genetically engineered elite assassin known as Agent 47. Based on the video game franchise, Timothy’s shaved for the role but his bald pate sports a temporary two-digit tattoo bar code to identify him amongst his brotherhood of deadly trained killers. |
When his assassin is paid to take out a Russian politician it seems he’s been framed and has to defend himself from someone taking him out. Timothy gets pretty beat up in the process but learned some cool moves from a personal trainer before shooting began. |
“The fight training is specifically, I remember telling them first day in ‘where were you guys in high school when I really needed you.’ It would’ve been helpful. But that stuff’s a blast. It really is a blast.” |
Timothy says he sees the ruthless killer he plays as more of a traveling salesman. |
“You know there is something very violent and there’s something very cold-blooded about him and the nature of this film is a very sleek action film but at the core if you just look at the guy just doing his job day in and day out he really is just kind of– it seems like a rather lonely existence. And it seems like a rather detached, he’s emotionally detached from his work.” |
Timothy’s next job is playing a lieutenant in the Iraqi war in Stop Loss starring Ryan Phillipe as a decorated war hero who is forced to return to battle because of a mandated policy. Hitman is currently number four at the box office. |
