THREE DAYS GRACE WORKING ON NEW CD, HOPES TO ATTAIN PEARL…
(VIDEO) Three Days Grace is looking to follow up their last album and follow-up in the footsteps of Pearl Jam. The band tells the camera they want a career like Seattle’s favorite sons. |
Three Days Grace is currently on phase two in making their follow-up to the band’s highly successful self-titled debut. The band is in Los Angeles after spending months in their familiar element of rural Canada to try to get away and concentrate on writing songs. |
Despite being rushed by their record label to quickly follow-up in the successful footsteps of their last effort, the band has insisted on taking their time and making the best album possible. Drummer Neil Sanderson said that Three Days Grace looks to legends such as Pearl Jam for inspiration and integrity. |
“Yeah, I think they’ve held on to their integrity better than any band historically, I think. Well that’s a pretty strong statement… Yeah. I think that they’ve been on uncharted territory in terms of doing things against the grain and being successful in it. I have a lot of respect for any band that can do that and can maintain their careers for so long and do it in such an unorthodox way. No videos. No interviews. I don’t know. It’s crazy. But they’ve done a lot of good things too. They’ve done a lot for other people.” |
Three Days Grace was able to road-test some new material at some recent shows in Toronto. The band said the songs went over well and are encouraged by the fans reactions. The new, still untitled, album is slated for arrival next year. |
