THE WHO REFORMS FOR TOWNSHEND’S SON

Tickets for The Who went on sale yesterday, and the band is doing respectable sales numbers. Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend are bona fide Classic Rockers, and there are some who wonder why The Who still chooses to grace stages across the world.

Pete Townshend said that it’s not his fault that there is still demand for the band. With newer bands like Jet, Wolfmother, and The Mars Volta picking up the mantle that The Who started back in the 60s, there are teenagers today who have never seen the real thing. Townshend’s son is now attending festivals, and the windmilling guitarist said that his son wanted to see what a Who show was all about.

The Who will also have another reason to tour. Who 2 is set for a fall release. The Who’s Uncut, Uncensored, and Unrepentant world tour is set to kick off September 12 in Philadelphia.
