THE LIVING THINGS TRUE TO EXPERIENCE

The Living Things currently touring in suupport of their new album, Ahead Of The Lions, and the band is actually getting some good airplay from their song, “Bom, Bom Bom.”

Despite their glam rock and roll image, The Living Things, are actually quite political, and if one reads deeper into the lyrics of their single, you can tell where they stand. Vocalist Lillian Berlin said that their band, which features two of Berlin’s brothers, is a byproduct of their environment.

“For me, I feel every artist is sort of a reflection on its surroundings and our surroundings are very working class, ‘the man is bringing you down. You’re working for the man. You’re a slave to the man.’ So a lot of that ideal, that sort of tough, brute mentality is where we’re from. So it kind of comes into the music, you know.”

The Living Things are wrapping up their tour in Chula Vista, California (November 15), and the band is planning their tour route for 2006.
