THE LITTLE MERMAID MAKES CONNECTION WITH GIRLS

(VIDEO) With the release of The Little Mermaid limited edition DVD, the voice of Ariel talks about her appeal.

It’s been almost 20 years since The Little Mermaid swam into our hearts. Now out on DVD this two disc special edition is available for a limited time with an all new digital restoration. Jodi Benson, the voice of Ariel talks about what makes the fun loving mischievous mermaid so special to young girls.

The memorable soundtrack created by Alan Menken and the late Howard Ashman earned the duo a 1989 Oscar for best original score. New bonus features on the limited edition DVD include deleted scenes, movie making secrets such as who inspired the Little Mermaid’s singing voice dating back to 1941, an all new music video starring Ashley Tisdale of Kiss The Girl. rn

She is approachable and has so much heart that you just can’t help but fall in love with her.”
