THE BROTHERS SOLOMON MAKE A BABY (Sept 2007)

The Brothers Solomon is about two brothers who will do whatever it takes to fulfill their father’s dying wish, to have a grandchild.

Saturday Night Live star Kristen Wiig whose memorable sketches include half of the condescending duo, The A-holes, alongside fellow cast member Jason Sudeikis, stars in The Brothers Solomon joined by another SNL cast member Will Forte.

Wiig plays a surrogate mother to the Brothers Solomon, played by Forte and Will Arnett who are desperate to fulfill their father’s dying wish.

“Their father goes into a coma and after they get to the hospital they find out that his last wish was to be a grandfather. So they try all these inventive ways to get a baby and stumble upon me.”

Director Bob Odenkirk designed his own baby doll which the brothers use in the film to practice their fathering skills.

“We had to design a doll because everything is trademarked and because they do some pretty horrendous things with the doll in their stupid attempts to become good fathers no company would let us do that to their baby doll. So I found this baby face in a magazine that I loved and brought it in and we designed this little doll. And I think it’s like the best thing I’ve ever been a part of creating.”

The Brothers Solomon opens Friday, September 7th in theaters.
