THE BRAVE ONE IS BOX OFFICE HERO
The Jodie Foster vigilante film is number one at the box office. |
The Brave One was the number one movie at the box office this weekend. The female vigilante flick starring Jodie Foster took over the Russell Crowe western 3:10 To Yuma with $14 million. |
Terrence Howard plays the New York City cop who befriends Foster but follows a hunch that she may be responsible for the random murders happening on his beat, and comes to question the justice system. |
“It’s nice to play a detective who’s own integrity is being put to question by not from the outside, but by himself asking is the law that I’m upholding really rendering justice to the citizens that have put faith into it. Sometimes the answer is yes but unfortunately sometimes it’s no. And how do you deal with that.” |
Terrence enjoyed shooting The Brave One on the streets of New York because it kept the reality going even when the cameras weren’t rolling. |
“Once you walk down these streets and shoot here, you don’t feel like you have to create a fourth wall. You’re home, you’re right on set. You know no matter where you are, you are always on set so it forces you to always be somewhat in character because you’re not walking outside the studio and seeing palm trees.” |
Los Angeles was the setting for Mr. Woodcock starring Billy Bob Thornton as a hard-nosed elementary school gym teacher came in close third with $9 million. |
