THA DOGG POUND SHOOT NEW VIDEO

Tha Dogg Pound isn’t wasting anytime in between releases. The group will release a new album in February. Keywords:Daz, Kurupt, Suge, Dogg Chit, Snoop Dogg.

Tha Dogg Pound is currently touring with Ice Cube and the Clipse but the group took a break on Saturday, April 22nd, to shoot the vudeo for their new single, “Cali Iz Active,” at Elysian Park in Los Angeles. The video shoot was a west coast rap reunion with Too Short, Ice Cube, WC, Strong Arm Steady, Warren G, Xzibit, Evidence, Dilated Peoples, JT the Bigga Figga, and DJ Quik all showing up for cameos.

Kurupt explained why Snoop Dogg decided to release “Cali Iz Active” as the lead single. He said,

“So you know he’s like we have to touch home bases. ‘Cali Iz Active’ is the biggest home, California record we got besides ‘Hoods.’ But you know Snoop picked it. Snoop feel like that’s a good single to go with that’s representing what we trying to push.”

Tha Dogg Pound will release their new album Cali Iz Active on June 27th. The set features guest appearances by B-Real, Busta Rhymes, David Banner, and Paul Wall, and production by Battlecat, Fredwreck, the Alchemist, Jazze Pha, Ryan Leslie, and Sean “Diddy” Combs.
