THA ALKAHOLIKS TAKING THEIR LAST SIPS
Tha Alkaholiks have been representing their unique brand of west coast hip-hop since they emerged on the national rap scene in 1993. The group, which is credited for launching Xzibit’s career, has decided that enough is enough and there next album, Firewater, will be their last. Group member J-Ro explained the decision in a released statement, “We all have different goals and things we want to do as individuals. It’s important for us to move forward and find new challenges.” |
Group member Tash explained that they may still record together from time to time. He said, “We’ll still get together once in a while to do a song here and a song there…but this is going to be it as far as albums go.” |
Following Firewater, fans can expect solo projects from J Ro and Tash while E-Swift will be recording the Likwit Crew compilation |
The group is also planning a farewell tour in conjunction with the release of the new album in February |
Tha Alkaholiks have released four albums: including: 1993’s 21 & Over, 1995’s Coast II Coast, 1997’s Likwidation, and 2001’s X.O. Experience. |
