TERRENCE HOWARD WATCHES SURGEONS AT WORK

Terrence Howard attended actual surgical procedures for his doctor’s role in Awake.

Terrence Howard stars in the thriller Awake as a cardio thoracic surgeon who is faced with malpractice suits from the very people who’s lives he’s saved. In the film he gets the opportunity to prove he still has what it takes when his friend played by Hayden Christensen is next in line for a heart transplant.

Terrence got into scrubs and an actual operating room to witness surgeons at work to prepare for the role.

“I spent a few hours and watched about 10 different operations at the Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. I mean it’s amazing to stand inside the OR with the patient being here and his heart beating here and you’re watching the heart transplant or aortic valve replacement. It’s a strange thing that they allow us to do to be able to climb into those worlds and watch life.”

Terrence will wrap this year with The Perfect Holiday and then onto Iron Man for 2008.
