TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES RETURN
Cowabunga baby, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are back from the 80s and it’s not just for kids anymore. Turtlemania apparently runs rampant with 35 year-olds as it did with 12 year-olds. The adventure continues for the mutated turtles gifted in the art of Ninja, this time saving the world from a mysterious evil. |
Sarah Michelle Gellar, the voice of April O’Neill talks about why we still care about TMNT. |
“I think people care about the turtles because there’s a reason for them. They’re not sort of these random people who have cool talents. They are a family which is an aspect I think that everybody can relate to. I think people are fascinated with the true philosophies behind martial arts and why you do them. And martial arts are an art for a reason. It’s not just fighting for the sake of fighting. It is an art form. I think all those things, they’re relevant.” |
Sarah first discovered TMNT when she was nine years-old and got hooked. |
“And I was flipping through the TV guide and I saw Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and it’s a line that you take for granted now but when you hear it for the first time it might be the strangest combined words ever in the history of the English language. I remember losing my mind laughing, ‘this is great. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,’ I am watching this.” |
Teenage Mutuant Ninja Turtles also features the voice talents of Laurence Fishburne, Chris Evans, Kevin Smith and Patrick Stewart. |
