TEA LEONI INSTRUCTED BY KILLER CONSULTANT

Tea Leoni worked with a killer consultant to learn how to throw down knives in You Kill Me.

Tea Leoni has the killer job in You Kill Me playing the love interest of Ben Kingsley’s alcoholic hit man. It was also a dangerous job as she had to learn the fine art of pitching knives at a watermelon.

To keep things safe and accurate Tea says a killer consultant was brought onto the set.

“He apparently leads these classes like conferences on how to kill people. So this guy comes to set with the gnarliest looking knives I’ve ever seen in my life and Ben and I are killing the watermelon with these. They were unbelievable knives and at one point I stabbed the dive knife into the watermelon and I realized that I nearly took my two buddies off the girls, the very precious girls and so I said to the guy, ‘I realize you’re all into this Rambo knife edge jagger killer, but can we just do this with a butter knife?’ And maybe also apparently Ben had almost cut his finger off we went to the butter knives and made do.”

Tea also learned the fine art of dancing the tango with Kingsley with a very real and sharp knife between them.

“We did a great tango in that movie with a very sharp knife. Maybe it’s because Ben and I really are sick at heart. I think we kind of wanted a sharp knife for that tango because we were really very aware as we were passing it around what it was and I didn’t want us to forget. If it would’ve been a fake knife it wouldn’t have been the same kind of dance. Sex, knives, tango, wooh!”

You Kill Me opens tomorrow in theaters.
