TAYLOR HAWKINS AMAZED AT FOO FIGHTERS ALBUM GRAMMY NOMINATION FOR BEST ALBUM
A Grammy nominations for Best Album is very meaningful to Taylor Hawkins of The Foo Fighters and he feels anyone who says different is full of crap |
Foo Fighters have been nominated for 5 Grammys for this year’s 50th Anniversary, set to take place Feb 10, 2008 at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. The Foos, who received nominations for Record of the Year, Best Rock Song and Best Hard Rock Performance for the song ‘Pretender,’ also garnered nominations for Best Rock Album for their latest release ‘Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace.’ Although each nomination is special to the band, clearly The Foo Fighters are amazed to be nominated for Album of the Year as well. |
We caught up with Taylor Hawkins to get his thoughts on being nominated for Album of the Year and if Grammy Awards mean anything to him. |
“It’s amazing! It’s amazing that we’re up for that (Grammy for Best Album.) Yeah sure they do. I think they mean something to everyone and anyone who says they don’t is full of crap. I mean everybody likes to win, you know.” |
The Foo Fighters have previously won 4 Grammys. One in 2003 for Best Rock Album for ‘One By One,’ another Grammy in 2002 for Best Hard Rock Performance for ‘All My Life’ and two Grammy’s in 2000 for Best Rock Album for ‘Nothing Left to Loose’ and Best Short Form Music Video for the bands song ‘Learn to Fly.’ The Foo Fighters will start their 2008 Tour in support for ‘Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace’ on Jan 16th in Sunrise, Florida and they have dates booked in The U.S., Canada and Australia through May of 2008. Fans of Taylor Hawkins can also find his drumming skills on Coheed and Cambria’s latest album ‘No World for Tomorrow.’ |
