The O.C. star Tate Donovan stars in Nancy Drew playing the father of the teenage sleuth who is less than thrilled with his daughter’s curiosity. |
Tate says he wishes she would give up her dangerous desire to solve mysteries. |
“All of her other cases up until the start of this movie have always been kind of cute little, gee a lost kitten or something like that. But this one when the movie opens she’s on top of a roof and she almost falls to her death. I’ve had it. I just want her to be a normal teenager, have some boyfriends or whatever; just cut the sleuthing.” |
Tate who began his career making television appearances as a teenager was very impressed with 16 year-old Emma Roberts as Nancy Drew. |
“She’s so at ease with acting and the process of acting and the whole crew. Everyone just adores her. There’s nothing not to adore. She’s hard working and she’s funny. She’s sweet.” |
Tate will star in another film based on a novel playing Neal Cassady, the inspiration for the character of Dean Moriarty from Jack Kerouac’s On The Road. |
