TAKING BACK SUNDAY HOPES TO BREAK OUT OF INDIE SCENE

Taking Back Sunday is hoping to break out of the traditional indie rock role with their tour with Angels And Airwaves and their new release Louder Now. While they haven’t attained the airplay of some of their peers, they still remain very much in demand. |
The band, who is now signed to Warner Brothers, said the fact that they’re signed to a major label doesn’t mean they’ve lost their Indie backbone. |
“I think that just so long as you’re not compromizing what you believe in and what you do it doesn’t matter if you’re on a major or an indie or whether you tour in a van or a bus. To say that you have to starve to have credibility is crap. Just so long as you’re not questioning who you are it doesn’t matter, you know?” |
Taking Back Sunday is featured in the DVD Bastards Of The Young, a documentary focusing on the indie music scene. The collection arrived in stores on Tuesday and it also features Thursday, Something Corporate, and Jimmy Eat World among others. |
