T.I. spreads positive message to Philadelphia school kids. |
Rapper T.I. visited the Harambee Charter School in West Philadelphia on Monday, June 11th, and stressed the importance of staying in school. The rapper, who dropped out of high school to purse a musical career said, “When you leave out your house and go through your day, you see more people who don’t go to school than who do go to school. But that don’t make it right. I was a misguided youth myself. So whatever I can do to help them out, to help out the hood, I got to be the first in line.” |
The rapper added, “Ain’t nothing lame, ain’t nothing punkish about being smart. Ain’t nothing punkish about being 25, 26, 28 and never had a run in with the law. That don’t make you a punk man. That makes you a winner.” |
“I think marketing money is very important man. Those are the ways that you gonna get people to buy your record. Those are the ways you gonna get your name to stick in people’s head you know what I’m sayin’? So that’s very important. In some cases, that’s gonna make or break an artist you know? Marketing, marketing and promotion, tour support, all that stuff is of significant importance.” |
