T.I. RELEASES REMIX SINGLE
T.I. hard at work on new album but releases remix single from King |
Atlanta-based rapper T.I. was a big winner at this week’s Billboard Music Awards, taking home five awards including Rap Album of the Year for King. The rapper has already recorded over 35 songs for his new album, T.I. vs. T.I.P., which he plans to release next summer. He recently explained the album’s title, “It’s basically a battle within myself. There’s not nobody out there doing what I do as well as I do it, so I see myself as worthy competition for myself.” T.I. vs. T.I.P. will feature production by KO, Keith Mack, DJ Toomp, Scott Storch, Timbaland and Jazze Pha. |
While he’s moving forward with a new album, T.I. recently released a new single and video from King for the “Top Back (Remix)” featuring Young Dro, B.G., and Big Kuntry. The four men performed the song at last month’s BET Awards. Kuntry shared what it’s like when the men perform. He said, |
“This your boy Big Kuntry. Our live show is the show period, you know what I’m sayin’? Everybody got energy on stage and the crowd got even more energy then us. It’s wild, you know what I’m sayin’? Our show has always been wild like a rock band.” |
The new single is doubling as a springboard for forthcoming solo projects from Big Kuntry and B.G. who recently signed a lucrative deal for his Chopper City Records with Atlantic Records. T.I. will serve as executive producer of the former Cash Money Millionaire’s next album. |
