T.I. LANDS ROLE IN NEW DANNY GLOVER MOVIE
T.I. set to begin production on new movie with Danny Glover….. |
The King of the South is trying to stake his claim for world domination. The rapper is enjoying the success of his latest album, T.I. v T.I.P., which was recently certified platinum for sales of 1 million copies. The rapper is also currently co-headlining the Screamfest tour with Ciara. The tour, which wraps early next month, also features T- Pain, Yung Joc, and Lloyd. |
After completing the tour, T.I. will turn his attention to acting. He shared that he’s scheduled to begin work on a new film, Once Was Lost, with Danny Glover. The rapper said, |
“Acting is well, acting is well. American Gangster comes out November 2nd. In preparation to do another movie with Danny Glover starting October which I will be producing as well, and another film, another comedy that we’re working on.” |
Once Was Lost will chronicle the relationship between a senile jazz musician played by Glover and a money-hungry drug dealer played by T.I. who end up taking a cross country drive from Mississippi to Harlem. The two men end up learning a lot about each other during the trip. |
But before fans see Once Was Lost, they’ll see T.I. in American Gangster. In the movie, T.I.’s character is the nephew of a drug kingpin played by Denzel Washington and Common plays T.I.’s father. The movie also stars Cuba Gooding Jr, Denzel Washington, Russell Crowe, RZA, and Idris Elba. |
