SYSTEM OF A DOWN TALKS ABOUT LAST GO-AROUND
(VIDEO) System Of A Down will take an indefinite hiatus, but vocalist Serj talked about the band’s last tour |
System of A Down is set to call it quits after OzzFest 2006 winds down later this month. The band has individual projects lined up for System’s “indefinite hiatus,” and many fans at the shows couldn’t help but feel a sense of sadness. |
Vocalist Serj Tankian was gracious enough to invite us on his bus for a joint interview with Bad Acid Trip, who are on his Serjical Strike record label. We asked the singer if there was any sadness for the last go-around of System Of A Down. |
“I’m not feeling sad right now. I’m really enjoying this tour. I’m really enjoying hanging out with all these guys. It’s honestly been the most fun System tour I’ve ever been on. That’s kind of really appealing to me, and it’s gone by pretty quickly. So, I’m excited about the prospects of what else there is down the line, each of the guys with their own stuff, myself… We all need time to do that and when the time comes if we’re all comfortable with coming back and doing this together, System will always be there for us.” |
System Of A Down leaves on top of their game. Not only are they enjoying rave reviews on the fest, they also leave with a Billboard record two Number One debuting albums in one year with Mesmerize and Hypnotize, respectively. OzzFest ends August 13 in West Palm Beach, Florida. |
