Paul Wall, Mike Jones, Lil Keke, Coota Bang, Z-Ro, Juelz Santana, and Archie Lee are some of the artists featured on the new Swishahouse Records compilation, The Day Hell Broke Loose 3, which will hit stores in August. Swishahouse Records will also be releasing new albums by Mike Jones (American Dreams) this summer and Paul Wall (Ain’t No 401K For A Hustla) this fall.

Swishahouse Records founder and co-CEO Mike “5000” Watts explained how the label came up with its name. He said,

“And the name Swisha, I didn’t want to call my mixes Screw mixes so I called them Swisha mixes. And the name Swisha, a lot of guys from everywhere else, you know what I’m sayin’, they use like blunts to roll their herb up in. In Houston we used to use Swishas, you know what I’m sayin’? So I called my mixes Swisha mixes and I called the studio the Swishahouse so that’s how we ended up with the name.”

Swishahouse Records was also instrumental in the careers of Slim Thug and Chamillionaire who both recorded for the company before signing with a major label.
