SUPERMAN STRUTS THE RED CARPET

Brandon Routh may fly on screen as Superman but he certainly strut the red carpet for the Superman Returns premiere in Los Angeles. Brandon says he’s taking his debut as The Man of Steel all in stride.

Brandon got a boost of confidence when he received a letter from Christopher Reeve’s wife Dana during filming.

“I feel very confident and excited to be here. I’m not stressed out. I’m learning from the amazing things that are happening and the changes in my life. It was a great honor for me to follow in his footsteps and I really did my best to push that aside and know that it was there but I had to exude strength and confidence.”rn

Brandon wants all the die-hard fans to know that this is a new and improved Superman with even greater powers than before.

“I received a nice letter from his wife Dana halfway through filming giving her blessing to the film and to me so that meant a lot. I felt great. I felt relieved that they were in support of it and that we weren’t stepping on anybody’s feet.”

Superman Returns will soon be flying into theaters June 28. rn

“You know Superman’s back and it’s pretty amazing. There’s great action and giving a lot of power and strength to the character which I think they’ll appreciate things that are new. We’re seeing him in a different light with more strength, flying faster than he’s ever flown before and really saving the day because the Earth is really in trouble from Lex.”
