SUGE KNIGHT MAKES SURPRISING CLAIM
In a move to help save Death Row Records, label CEO Suge Knight has filed for bankruptcy. Knight has been ordered to pay $107 million to Lydia Harris, a former college who claimed that she helped start the label with her ex-husband Michael Harris. Harris is currently imprisoned for drug dealing and claims to have put up $1.5 million to start the label. |
Steven Goldberg Lydia Harris’ lawyer believes that Knight made the wrong move. “This is a guy who has spent years trying to avoid the microscope of the federal government, now he’ll have them in his books.” |
Although Knight has filed bankruptcy, California Superior Court Judge Ronald Sohigian has ordered the label to be placed in receivership since the CEO has failed show on his scheduled March 23 and April 1 court dates. |
