STONE TEMPLE PILOTS 2008 TOUR DATES
Columbus, Ohio was certainly the place to be as Rock on the Range welcomed another tremendous festival lineup over two days for the serious rock fan. |
For the first time since 2003, Stone Temple Pilots are ready to hit the road with their original lineup consisting of Scott Weiland, brothers Robert and Dean DeLeo and Eric Kretz. STP’s five albums have sold over 17 million copies in the United States alone and over 20 million albums worldwide on the strength of fifteen top ten singles on the Billboard rock charts and six #1 singles, including their Grammy Award winning single ‘Plush.’ Stone Temple Pilots will kick off their tour May 17th at Rock on the Range in Columbus, Ohio and conclude their tour at Voodoo Music Festival in New Orleans on Oct 24th. The band will then be heading into the studio in November after their tour to record their sixth album. |
Scott Weiland, who has struggled with substance abuse off-and-on for years recently spent some jail time due in Van Nuys, California due to the DUI sentence that required him to serve equivalent of eight days behind bars. Weiland, who may have to break up the 190 plus hours of time in the can, had until May 28th to serve out his sentence. As of press time it’s still unclear if any of the confirmed STP dates will be affected. |
