STEREOPHONICS MAKING NEW ALBUM, GET BEST OF BOTH WORLDS
Stereophonics may just be in studio mode, having finished a majority of their touring in support of Language, Sex, Violence, Other?. While the band is working hard at their next effort, the band did book a light touring schedule that includes the Bangkok Festival on February 19, and a date to kick off Scotland’s branch of U.K. radio station XFM on January 22. They also have dates planned with Oasis. |
Richard and Kelly Jones talked about the need for the balance between live work and studio work. |
[Richard] “Holiday from touring is going into the studio and a holiday from the studio is going on tour. It’s kind of… I don’t find any of it… I don’t find making records stressful or I don’t find touring stressful, I just find that, if anything, on different days you’re tired and on other days you have an amazing time. That’s kind of it, really. I wouldn’t want to do any other job.” |
The Oasis tour starts later this month and hits France, Austria, Switzerland, and Italy. Of the tour, Kelly Jones wrote in his online diary, “[I] spoke with Noel [Gallagher, and I think it’s going to be more of a bender than a tour – I think it may get messy!” |
The band promises to have a live record and a studio record out in 2006. |
