STARS SUFFER FOOTBALL INJURIES SHOOTING INVINCIBLE

Michael Rispoli stars in Invincible as the bar owner where Vince Papale bartends in the film and he gets to do a lot more than just serve drinks. The actor who’s most known for his portrayal of cops and mafia figures says he gave it his all on the football field scenes even if it meant suffering for his art.

Kirk Acevedo got injured while scrimmaging but his Desperate Housewives spouse Kiersten Warren is assured that everything is still in working order.

“I did actually. I cracked a rib. We played two weeks in a row. Listen. Two weeks in a row from six at night until six in the morning. We were dead tired and we had to do the same plays over and over and then changing different plays. And you just can’t help having that contact. It was on the last day and I just woke up getting out of bed and I couldn’t. I called them up and I said, ‘you got to tape me up.’ I said I know we got one day left but you got to tape me up and put me back together for this so.”

Both Kirk Acevedo and Michael Rispoli will star together in the Irish mafia drama The Black Donnellys coming to NBC this fall.

“I tore my groin and a little knee problems. Kiersten: But the groin still works so we’re fine. Kirk: Fabulously. Kiersten: We’re OK if you were worrying.”
